Naomi married Allan on 28 September 2013 at Hackney Town Hall, followed by a reception at The Londesborough pub in Stoke Newington. The theme was ‘equal opportunities’, so there were no strict wedding traditions, or anything that put the guests in a hierarchy. The pair opted for a civil ceremony with a reading from Douglas Coupland’s novel Generation X, and an acoustic version of David Bowie’s Kooks from Naomi’s sister and guitarist boyfriend.More
My wedding dress was actually a two-piece skirt and top by Christopher Kane (SS13) in acid yellow with white lace applique, crystals and cellotape all over it.
The shoes were turquoise suede concealed platform pumps by Nicholas Kirkwood – a steal in a sample sale.
As a ‘walk in’ wedding at the town hall, Allan and I both did a lap of honour of the ceremony room – which was so much fun.
