Last night in LA, 2012’s most talked about stars gathered for the People’s Choice Awards.
On the red carpet, new season brights and British labels were in evidence.
Emma Watson shone in a cut out Peter Pilotto dress and bright fuscia lipstick. She was presented with the trophy for Dramatic Movie Actress for her role in by fellow Brit actor Eddie Redmayne.
Chloe Moretz was also in attendance in a neon yellow Simone Rocha dress. And Paris Hilton gave us cause for surprise when she walked the carpet in a beautiful dress by Mary Katrantzou.
The Hunger Games swept the board collecting five awards, and Jennifer Lawrence - the star of the movie franchise - looked glamourous in a shimmering black, tulip-skirt dress by Valentino, the label also worn by Katy Perry.
Taylor Swift picked up the award for Favourite Country Artist in a plunging white gown by Ralph Lauren. But her former beau Harry Styles, whose band One Direction won Favourite Song for What Makes You Beautiful, was thousands of miles away at a Tom Ford event in London.
With the Golden Globes and the Oscars on the horizon, the People’s Choice Awards has marked the beginning of awards season. Forget Christmas, it's our favourite time of the year…
