The show will take place on Monday 18 February in a, so far, unknown location.
The announcement comes just a few hours after the BFC announced another newcomer to the London Fashion Week schedule, L’Wren Scott, who showed in Paris last season, and in New York for five years before that.
Ford showed his collection in London last year, but in a private presentation to a limited amount of editors, who were subsequently banned from posting photos or revealing too much about the collection before it hit stores months later. It is not yet clear whether this will be the case with the upcoming autumn/winter 2013 collection.
Welsh designer Julien MacDonald will also be returning to London Fashion Week after a year-long hiatus, in which he eschewed catwalk shows for more intimate one-on-one appointments to show his collections.
And finally it has been revealed that Manolo Blahnik will be the BFC’s creative partner for the 5-day British fashion extravaganza, meaning his famous sketches will be used on all print and digital marketing and social media platforms relating to the event.
So, it's a great day for London Fashion Week! With all this good news and the provisional schedule now on line – we can’t wait for the autumn/winter 2013 season to get underway...
