Dating a man of the stature of Bradley Cooper - aka Hollywoods favourite leading man - cant be easy, but ELLEs January cover star Suki Waterhouse is so nonplussed by the idea of fame that she doesnt obsess over the digital commentary, she tells us in her exclusive cover interview.
I try not to look at that stuff, she shrugs. In reality, if there are 200 people commenting on something online, its less than a grain of salt in a huge beach of humanity who cares? I just want to work hard, do stuff of the best possible quality and be a great friend.
Staying grounded is, of course, easier when all of your friends are in the same fame boat; Suki counted Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger as mates as far back as their school days.
'Thats the really cool thing. Weve been mates since we were kids so now, when were working together, it never feels like Im on my own, she says. Thats such an advantage compared to the girls from abroad who know nobody. Thats why I always try and befriend new girls.
Not that they always want me to!
Shes also close with Brit It-model Jourdan Dunn - and being around her and her young son Riley, Suki admits, has set her biological clock ticking.
I really like the idea of having kids in not too long, she confides. Not, like, now. And not next year. But in not too long. I talk to Jourdan about it quite a lot. She made the decision and had her parents and agency supporting her. I think its the coolest thing.
Are you paying attention, Bradley?

Whats that, you say? You want more highlights? Oh, go on then
Suki on about her relationship with Bradley Cooper: I dont talk about my boyfriend because its boring. At least, thats what I decided to tell you when you asked.
About the claims that Cooper had asked for her number at the ELLE Style Awards in February: That didnt happen there. But we did meet at the Style Awards, Ill give you that. Look, maybe its best for me to say, Im not one of those girls who goes on about their boyfriends. I do think whatever I say will sound weird. But the truth is, if I start talking about him, I probably wont be able to stop. And I dont really want to talk about him, you know?
On her status as a model: I know its cool to pretend you dont care. But I love fashion and I love clothes. I live my life in a sea of clothes. And its fantastic to be able to use them and play with them.
On growing up as the daughter of one of Britains best plastic surgeons: I used to go into hospital with my dad and visit the reconstruction patients and sometimes the cosmetic ones, too. Ive got nothing against plastic surgery at all. I know lots of people, young and old, whove had it. The point about good surgery is you cant see it. The important thing is not to go crazy and not to go to a bad surgeon.
