If crushing on mind-blowingly exquisite wedding dresses is your bag, brace yourself. Because Phillipa Lepleys Phillipa, a design created to mark the couturiers 25-year anniversary in the bridal industry, is the stuff of dreams.
An oversized grand Italian Duchesse Satin gown, it comes heavily embellished and encrusted with diamante, crystal and vintage silver pearls all of which weave intricate stories within the bodice itself.
I am excited to be celebrating 25 years creating bespoke wedding dresses and to be presenting this commemorative dress to the world, the designer tells us. I love the way the embellishments and fabric we have used add a contemporary twist to a timeless silhouette.
The dress is currently on display in the window of Lepleys 48 Fulham Road, SW3, boutique for a month and will be auctioned for charity at the end of the year, along with its commemorative embellished silk tulle veil the most ornate Lepley has ever created.
