For a delicious winter warming balm, which smells good enough to eat this festive season, Faye Fasan, founder of The Chelsea Day Spa reveals her secret, signature balm recipe. It is used in the spa's Signature Manicure, £40, so if you can't make it to Chelsea for the treatment, you can try making it at home:

"To try my Figgy Pudding Passion balm for moisturising pre- or post-party hands and feet, take six-eight tablespoons of fragrance-free moisturizer and mix with five teaspoons of pure almond essence.  Next, blend essential oils of clove, cinammon, nutmeg, lemon and ginger, pour in to your moisturiser and mix. To spice up my balm, add a dash of rum and brandy, grate in some fresh nutmeg, lemon peel and ginger and a sprinkle of cinammon for a festive treat that smells good enough to eat!"
