Whether you're a 'Swifty' (definition: Taylor Swift fan) or not, you have to admit her hair and make-up on the Jonathan Ross show on Saturday night was beautiful. That perfect red pout looked so effortless and that wavy hair so elegant.
According to Turk, Taylor gets her beauty inspiration from her wardrobe, choosing looks that work well with her outfit on the day. 'For example, if she is attending an award show like the MTV VMAs, she may want to go with a look thats a little edgier than something she would do for a TV talk show appearance.'
To get Taylors make-up look follow these steps:
'For the complexion, I used a bit of foundation to even out the skin, followed by a creamy peach blush for her cheeks' said Turk.
On the eyes Turk used an ivory shadow all over the eyelid, then a grey-brown shadow like the in the crease 'for a very natural look'. For the gray brown shadow in the crease, 'I love to use CG Intense Shadow Blast in brown bling. It's a perfect natural shadow color and blends beautifully.' Using the same grey-brown shadow Turk bought the shadow under the bottom lash line for definition. For added definition - a creamy black eyeliner lining the upper lash line followed by a slick of mascara was all it took.
Turk finished the look by enhancing Taylor's own natural lip colour; 'I use Outstain in Wild Berry Wink blotted with tissue.'
Taylors approach to her hair is the same as her make-up. Her hairstylist Jemma Muradian told us, 'Taylor didn't want her hairstyle to compete with the beautiful, elegant vintage dress that she was wearing. We wanted to enhance it. Therefore, we thought the hair should be soft with a gentle wave around the face line and throughout the edge of the hair.'
To recreate the look, Muradian recommends starting in the shower with Kerastase Cristalliste Shampoo, £11.85, and Conditioner, £14.15.
'Apply a tiny amount of Shu Uemura Art of Hair Essence Absolue, £39.50, distributing this on the ends of the hair before rough drying.
'Take a straightening iron and just pass over the roots to smooth. Then use a 2 inch curling iron and wrap 1.5 inch sections of hair horizontally working from the mid lengths to ends. After curling, lightly mist with hairspray and take a paddle brush to smooth all the hair to one side - this gives a beautiful wave with a vintage feel to it. Spray the final look again with LOreal Paris Elnett hairspray, £6.49.'
