CFDAs: A lesson in red lips

Lady Gaga is known for her extreme beauty looks and while she didn't disappoint last night in a turquoise wig, heavy black brows and a punchy red lip, she kept her eye make-up to a minimum (well for her anyway) with a light slick of mascara and a slender black liquid line.

Karlie Kloss and Alessandra Ambrosio pared their tomato red lips down with brown/black mascara, a touch of white liner on the inside lower lash line to brighten the eyes and a light slick of black liner hugging the top lashes to accentuate the shape of the eye. Stop the black liner at the outer corner like Karlie if you just want to enhance the natural shape of your eyes or extend it into a slight flick like Alessandra if you want to create a subtle retro look.

Chloe Sevigny opted for her signature red lipstick (MAC's Lady Danger) and paired it with a subtle golden wash of colour on the eye, a light smudge of brown kohl liner under the lower lashes and a slick of brown mascara - the perfect night time holiday look, it goes great with a tan.
