Richard Ward said, 'we've spent four months and created multiple mood boards' to come to the final look. James Pryce has met with Kate behind 'locked doors...four or five times' in recent weeks to practice the hairstyle for the big day.

James has been cutting Kate's hair for the last four years, before that he was her mother Carole's hairstylist. James and Richard said it is a 'fantastic honour' that 'Kate has stuck with us all this time' and that James was chosen for to style the hair for the Royal Wedding.

Richard joked that 'the pressure is off me! For the first time in 20 years I'll be the one passing the pins and mopping James' brow'. But he did describe the day as a 'massive team event' as the salon staff have been called on to style the hair for the whole Middleton family.

Kate first visited the salon when she was 20 and was off to university and Richard said that she has not changed since. James added 'she is calm and composed. She'll make Britain proud'.
