One of our favourite looks from this London Fashion Week spring/summer 2019 was clearly also Poppy Delevingne’s, given that the model chose to recreate Emilia Wickstead’s runway look on the red carpet at the 2018 Emmy Awards in Hollywood.

Wearing a bright turquoise gown by Giambattista Valli, Delevingne mastered the Emilia Wickstead show’s hair trend with a black double-bowed ponytail.

The polished pony, tailored with a bow at the base and at the tail, looked elegant, charming and super chic.

The model paired her hairstyle with a classic make-up look centred on inky black feline flicks of liner, in contrast to the catwalk look for ‘no make-up’ make-up – which no one wants on the red carpet.

How to wear the trend in real life? Take Delevingne’s lead by balancing the hairstyle with heavier eye make-up, but downsize the bows. Unless, of course, you have a dress of such epic proportions to match.
