Margot Robbie Is Channelling Barbie With This Polished Updo

Even though her run of Barbie promo, premieres and appearances was cut short by the SAG-AFTRA strike action, we were still treated to a swathe of outfit and beauty moments where Margot Robbie channelled historic looks from the world's favourite doll.

But it seems she wasn't ready to let those cancelled looks go to waste, as she's been back channelling Ms Barbara Anne Roberts in her public appearances now that the strike action is finally over. Just like at the Gotham Awards in New York on Monday night.

Margot attended the awards ceremony, which celebrates independent films, with her husband Tom Ackerley, and her animated ponytail was the human embodiment of the Barbie logo. I mean just look. And given her history of homage to the world's most famous doll, we know it was intentional.

Her stylised up-do features the same side part and sweeping slicked bang as the cartoon, before being pulled back to her crown in a perfect high-pony. The bouncing pony knows no laws of physics with its gravity defying curls, and is neatly wrapped in a glossy twist of her golden locks. Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous.

Her make-up steered away from the Barbie pinks for a more autumnal russet lip and cheek that really brought out the warmth in her complexion. Meanwhile, her vintage LBD look was another nod to the famous doll. At this point, we don't know where Margot ends and Barbie begins but we are not complaining.
