If you haven't seen Millie Bobby Brown playing a princess in Netflix's Damsel yet, what are you waiting for? Well, her latest hairstyle – posted on IG in a perfume campaign for her Florence By Mills fragrance Wildy Me – should remind you to get watching; seeing as Mills looks every bit the ethereal princess in the gorgeous photo. Though, the setting looks a lot calmer than in the action movie, thankfully.

Millie's dark hair is worn centre parted and back behind her ears in a sleek style that Tom Smith (hair trend forecaster, creative director at beauty brand evo, and Olaplex artist) told us about at the end of last year, calling it 'the veil' trend.

Tom told us: 'Romantic, ethereal and statuesque, this hairstyle is incredibly easy for anyone with long hair – specifically those with beyond shoulder-length locks.' While Millie is wearing her take centre-parted, it can be worn to the side for a more forgiving look. 'If you're blessed with a relatively symmetrical face, a perfect, sharp, central parting and poker-straight hair will work really well. If a softer alternative is more your jam, a more irregular mid-ish parting and a little more texture in the lengths is a good option,' he says.

While the trend is most commonly worn with hair tucked behind the ears, a subtle half-up style like Millie's can look more intentional, with a little added polish. Either way, we can expect a lot more double ear-baring in 2024 and we're here for it.
