The best part of Cannes 2017? Stalking every red carpet hair look and fantasising over how we'll be able to recreate it on our next night out out.

We're so keen in fact, we grilled the woman behind pretty much every A-lister's hair ever, Jennifer Yepez (yup, it was her idea to give Salma Hayek a bubblegum pink makeover) on how to nail the three hottest hairstyles that hit Cannes this year.

From Em Rata's faux fringe, to Bella Hadid's retro glam bob and Hailey Baldwin's seriously blunt lob, here's the secrets to nabbing their red carpet hair looks, direct from their go-to stylist herself.

Bella Hadid's Old Hollywood Bob

The Inspiration...

'Bella showed me the dress and I automatically thought old Hollywood. She texted me and said she wanted old Hollywood as well so we were on the same page! For me, my favourite classic old Hollywood look is Veronica Lake and Rita Hayworth, so I definitely took inspiration from their signature looks.'

How To Nail The Look

1. I like to start with the Moisture Milk from Honest Beauty just on the ends of the hair, then I sprayed Honest Beauty Volumizing Spray from root to end.

2. I blowdried her hair using the T3 medium brush and the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i Dryer.

3. After I was done, I used the Undone Waves Barrel from the T3 Whirl Trio, taking small sections, about one inch. I start from the root and I keep the ends out, I do not pin the curls as I was going for a loose curl. All the curls go downward, even the ones on the top layer.

4. After I had curled all of the hair, I took a hairbrush and brushed it all out. I then finished with the Kerastase Laque Couture Hair Spray.

What To Avoid...

'Don't make it too poofy and don't comb it out like an old fashioned and dated style. If you're going for a sleeker old school look, curl the ends inward to finish of the look.'

Emily Ratajkowski's Faux Fringe

The Inspiration...

'I saw a photo on Instagram of Emily and I was obsessed with her faux bang so we thought it would be great to do that on the red carpet in Cannes to get this chic and classic Audrey Hepburn inspired look. We literally thought of the idea at the same time - she texted me and I was already getting the look together.'

How To Nail The Look

1. First I like to prep the hair with Honest Beauty Heat Protectant Spray. Then I like to use the moisture milk and theVolumizing Spray all over.

2. Then I blow dried Emily's hair using a T3 medium-sized brush and the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i Dryer.

3. After I finished blow drying, I took all the hair from the back and started making a French twist. The point is for it not to be too stiff or too perfect.

4. I then took the R & Co Outerspace Hairspray and smoothed all the fly aways with a toothbrush.

5. After the French twist is secured with U pins or bobby pins, I took the faux bangs and clipped them in. I then used U pins and secured the bang. I then sprayed the bang down to hold the style.

What To Avoid...

'Always make sure that it matches perfectly. There's nothing worse than being able to tell that you were wearing a fake bang! Get the colour right and invest in a quality piece.'

Hailey Baldwin's Blunt Cut Lob

The Inspiration...

'We had already decided on the dress so I wanted to make the look more cool and effortless rather than too serious. Together we were trying to decide whether we were going to go for a super long and straight look or just have a short straight lob. We decided it would be cooler to do it short and straight. I've done a faux bob on her in the past and it always comes out beautiful and really suits her.'

How To Nail The Look

1. First I sprayed the hair with Honest Beauty Heat Protectant Spray, followed by the Honest Beauty Moisture Milk. I then prepped the hair from root to midshaft using the Honest Beauty Volumizing Spray.

2. I blow dried the hair straight with the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i Dryer and then parted the hair in the middle.

3. After all the hair was blowdried, I picked the shortest piece from all of her layers and use that as a guide. Once I had all the shortest layers, I started to make sections and braided all of the hair.

4. I then sewed in the extensions to Hailey's braided hair and cut all the extensions matching the shortest layer in her hair.

What To Avoid...

'When you're straightening hair, make sure you always put a leave in conditioner on the ends and also always use a heat protectant.'
