The Kris Cosmetics collaboration between Kylie Jenner and her mum Kris might just be the best—and funniest—make-up drop of the year.

In an age when beauty brands either take themselves too seriously or not seriously enough (looking at you, unicorns), the Kris Cosmetics line stands out for its tongue-in-cheek packaging and outrageous shade names. Who among us wouldn't chuckle every time we swipe the face powder shade 'Your Sister's Going To Jail' along our cheekbones, or appreciate the sheer audacity to name an entire palette 10%—after your manager's fee percentage?

It's this witty, meme-able marketing with that has made the Kris Cosmetics x Kylie Cosmetics collab one of the most anticipated beauty drops of the year. BAZAAR.com spoke exclusively with Kylie and Kris Jenner ahead of the Mother's Day collection drop on Sunday, May 13th at 3 p.m. PST about what went into naming each product, their fitness and diet routines in a post-Stormi world, and Kylie's upcoming 21st birthday celebration.

The names in this collection are outrageous in the best possible way. Walk me through the process and one of your naming meetings. Who makes the final call?

Kylie: 'I thought of this a few months ago and I was randomly sitting in a meeting and I was like, "you know what, I want to collab with my mum!" It usually takes me so long to make a collection but this one was so organic and easy. And I literally made it in like an hour, designed the whole thing. I was like I want all the renderings made. I want it done to present this to my mum. We of course didn’t pick any of the colours or the shadows because we wanted that to be authentic to the Kris Jenner look and what she had in mind. Just the packaging and stuff. I presented to her and I was like, "I want to collab with you" and she was so excited.

As for the names, I was like, "I have another meeting to go to only for like a half hour" so I left my mum alone in my make-up meeting. I was like, "you guys think of names, I’ll come back I’ll help you and we can finalise."

I came back in like 15 mins and she had every name picked out. It was super easy for her. They were so excited to read me all the names—I was dying laughing. I was like, "this is so genius!" I couldn’t have thought of better names.

The whole collection we just had so much fun with it, you can see how much fun we had with it. It’s so not serious—it’s the opposite. It’s just all the products and eyeshadows to get the signature Kris Jenner look: the smoky eye, the red lip. We just had a lot of fun.'

The buzz around this collection is some of the biggest I’ve seen. Did either of you worry about the Kylie Cosmetics business when you took your personal time out of the spotlight?

Kylie: 'I actually think it was the most focused I have been on Kylie Cosmetics, I got so much done because I had so much more time on my hands to just focus on my business. I even had a make-up meeting like a day before I gave birth. I couldn’t breathe in the meeting, I was like 10 months pregnant. I had meetings all the way through, at least three times a week.'

Kylie, we’re all dying to know: have you tweaked your diet or fitness routine since giving birth? You look incredible. We need your post-baby secrets!

Kylie: 'I actually haven’t! I really need to tone up and start working out just for health. I am honestly not even checking my weight all the time. I actually love my body—I love every stage that it’s been through. I am as surprised as everyone else. I still feel like I’m pregnant; I’m eating whatever I want. I don’t even have time to workout unless I wake up at like six in the morning. I am so busy. I do want to get more into working out, because my best friend Jordyn is so motivational. She works out if not once a day twice a day. I think it’s just the Jenner genes.'

Kris, how can we look as good as you when we’re in our 60s?

Kris: 'I think just being able to stay active and work out and try and eat somewhat healthy and take care of myself. All of the things they that say to do—it’s what I am trying to do now. I am trying to take certain things out of my diet, trying different things. So I’m playing around with my diet right now and trying to find a great balance. Most of the time, trying to at least get some cardio in everyday and keeping my heart healthy. Get a regular facial here and there, getting a massage, just trying to keep my body feeling good. I just started doing pilates. Pilates is one of the best things I have ever done. Pilates in and of itself is so great, but the fact that there’s all this stretching before and after—it’s a thing I have never done before. I promise you it has changed my life.'

Kylie, your 21st birthday is coming in August. Can you tell us anything about this year’s Kylie Cosmetics birthday collection? A little teaser?

Kylie: 'You can expect a birthday collection, it will be my third collection for Kylie Cosmetics. I am so excited for what we’re gonna do—it’s not what people are going to expect. I had a lot of fun with it.'

How do you both measure success? What is your launch day ritual whenever you drop something new?

Kris: 'When we launch something new it’s so exciting. It’s a big deal. We gather our team and Kylie who leads the pack. She’s obviously done a great deal of social media on different platforms leading up the the launch. When it’s launch day, she’s got all engines blasting and doing her thing on social media and then it’s very exciting to see the response. We’re always so pleasantly surprised. It’s so much fun and it’s amazing to watch her work because she’s so excited about what she’s doing. I think one of the measures of success is doing something that you really, really love and being good at it and having it resonate with everyone. The fact that the formulation is so amazing, and the concept is so genius, and she works so hard and is so passionate about what she lives—she’s already planned her line for next 12 months. She works on it diligently and I think the measurement of that success is truly how it makes you feel. She’s doing something that she really loves.'
