Between Chanel's OTT cat eye and undone French girl hair, and Dior's super fresh-faced foundation, this year's Cruise shows are providing more beauty inspo than ever before.

Keeping the side up was Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2019 offering, where Nicolas Ghesquiere sent a model army storming the sculpture-laden runway at the Fondation Maeght in Nice.

Tasked with capturing the high fashion mash-up of styles weaving their way around the Giacometti artworks was backstage legend and the Mother of make-up, Pat McGrath.

Opting for fashion's favourite make-up look, perfect skin and little else, for the majority of models, McGrath channelled Ghesquiere's 'eccentric' woman via flames painted sporadically on random model's foreheads.

McGrath used her own Pat Mcgrath Labs Skin Fetish 003 illuminator kit and minimal other make-up to give most of the models a super healthy glow. However, a select few were given an extra dash of McGrath magic with black roses drawn between their eyebrows and red flames painted over the top.

In a show where mismatched individuality was the name of the game, the fiery symbol marked models as standing out from the crowd, the chosen ones if you will.

'This cruise show is about eccentricity for me. It’s about how an individual can have his own proper style and can start a movement,' Ghesquiere told WWD. 'I love this idea of someone eccentric that mixes things in her own way,' he said.
