She's forever hitting headlines for being a totally dominating presence in the world of pro tennis, but Serena Williams is more than just an outrageously successful athlete.
Founder of her own clothing line, Serena, friend to newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and mum to one-year-old Alexis, it's kind of insane that Williams manages to find the time to work a little beauty and self care into her life at all.
With rumours swirling that the 23 Grand Slam winner is launching her own make-up line (she filed trademark paperwork for 'Aneres' across 18 beauty categories back in March) in addition to everything else, Williams revealed her own low key skincare routine to Into The Gloss.
'It’s hard with a baby and everything, so I really have to force myself to take time [for myself],' she explained. 'One of the ways I do it is with sheet masks—I love those. And then I love these under eye masks, too. I just do that and sit in my La-Z-Boy—that’s super relaxing for me. My favourite is a gold one I got in London, at Harrods.'
Bouji sheet masks? Serena's a woman after our own hearts. And just to add to her being ultimate goals, the Olympic athlete has the most relatable make-up routine ever. Why? Because she does it herself, of course.
'I have this whole natural vibe. Just a little concealer, just a little brow, just a little contour, just a little lip. Natural. That’s it. And obviously mascara. I don’t do foundation—I just use concealer and blend it, which keeps it kind of natural but still fabulous. I work with people a lot, but I can totally do a red carpet look [on my own]. '
