We're talking about Glossier Play.
What is Glossier Play?
A brand spanking new sister line from Glossier, Glossier play is the mysterious sub-brand we're inevitably going to be obsessed with.
'After two years in the making, we can’t wait for you to see, touch, hear, swatch, and play with what’s to come,' Glossier captioned its debut post about the new line.
As Glossier's current vibe is all about less is more make-up, perhaps Glossier Play will be its younger, more colourful, sibling.
Certainly, if the debut Instagram post and the name is anything to go by, we're in store for a seriously fun beauty brand.
Founder Emily Weiss posted the announcement on her own Instagram, ending with a heartfelt message to her team, 'words cannot describe how proud I am of this team, and how excited I am for you to begin again with us.'
What products will Glossier Play sell?

Glossier Play has arrived!
The initial drop includes four brand new make-up products plus two tools: Vinylic Lip, a high shine lip lacquer in a pencil case-friendly clickable pen, Niteshine, a pearly highlighter with a doe-foot applicator, Colorslide, a long-lasting gel eyeliner pencil, Glitter Gelée, a seriously jazzy 'one step' glitter gel that gives you a 'jewelled' effect, Blade, a pencil eyeliner sharpener, and the intriguingly named The Detailer, a specially-designed applicator for the Glitter Gelée.
Each product is available in a rainbow palette of super pigmented shades, perfect for unleashing your inner Glossier disco.
The idea is to create your own personal 'Playground' consisting of one of each make-up product plus both tools, all at a delightful discounted price.
The brand has already trademarked the phrase 'Playroom', with the filing indicating that it could be for body or room scents, burning papers, or bath bombs. Did Glossier homewear just happen???.
Additionally, 'Glossier Play Tetra Chrome' has also been trademarked. Tetra Chrome is a special condition that enables people to see 100 million colours, which makes sense, as the name has been trademarked for eye shadow or eye make-up. We're literally watching this space for rainbow eyeshadow palettes.
When is Glossier Play launching?
According to Glossier's Instagram account, you'll be able to get your hands on Glossier Play from March this year.
