The woman behind Cassie's legendary peacock eyelids and Jules' otherworldly, silver spikes situation is Doniella Davy, the show's make-up designer.
Davy's work on Euphoria is now part of our cultural zeitgeist, inspiring not only countless runway shows (and the way we do our eyeliner) but also proving just how much beauty plays a part in building characters on a TV show. We know of more than a few colleagues who flock to the show simply because 'the make-up is worth watching'. In the way that fans claim New York City as the fifth SATC character, we'd argue beauty is its own entity on Euphoria.
Now, recreating the show's most iconic looks have never been easier thanks to Davy's new make-up line, Half Magic Beauty. The brand is supported by A24, the studio that produces Euphoria.
'Since my very first film job, I've been dreaming up a wishlist of make-up products that didn't exist,' said Davy on Half Magic's Instagram post. 'Three years ago, as the world started falling in love with #EuphoriaMakeup, I started working on this make-up line alongside the creators of Euphoria. I can't wait for you to discover or re-discover the magic of make-up.'
Products range from Chromaddiction Shimmer, a richly-pigmented glimmering eyeshadow, to Glitterpill eyeliner to dial up your Kat eye (see what we did there?). There are also face adornments (but of course!) and useful tools to perfect your beat.
Half Magic Beauty is completely vegan, and the brand's partnership with Beauty 2 The Streetz supports people without housing in Skid Row, LA. Plus, the range ships to the UK so we can all bring a much-needed dose of magic to our make-up bags.
