From delicate and dreamy to bold and bright, pigment ruled the runway this season. Here are our favourite looks and how to make them work for you.
Inky Lips
An easy-to-wear nod to the punk revival, deep red pouts dominated numerous catwalks. Here, Chanel make-up artist Marco Antonio pairs Chanel's Rouge Allure Velvet Mystérieuse, £35. A glossy, black cherry shade, with a light sweeping of jet black mascara.
Power Pigment
One for those who like to colour outside of the lines, this look is all about expression. Choose your favourite shade (here, we've used Chanel's Joues Contraste powder blush in Quintessence, £38, as an eyeshadow), load up your brush and blend and buff to your heart's content.
Lavender Haze
Surprisingly versatile (and complementary on all skin tones), lavender was the Pantone swatch of the season. To keep it youthful, skip the mascara and bronzer, and pair with a soft, nude lip, such as Chanel's Rouge Allure Velvet in Intemporelle, £35.
Primary Paint
Big, bold blocks of colour add a joyful focal point. For a polished finish, keep the shape precise and skin, lips and everything else fresh and bare.
Soft Goth
Rather than going full Wednesday Addams, embrace this season's tougher mood by using deep burgundy tones from Chanel's Les 4 Rouges Yeux Et Joues eyeshadow palette in Caractere, £70, instead of black. These softer shades will allow you to push your boundaries without fear of looking costume-y.
Brows Now
Once an afterthought, brows are now playing lead roles in looks. Here, a bleached base (a vibe in its own right) is accented with a Marlene Dietrich-esque shape using Chanel's Le Crayon Yeux in Brun Cuivré, £23, to match the model's auburn hair.
