Global fashion search platform Lyst has looked across its five million products from 12,000 brands to uncover which foods the fashion world is currently into. In first place, came Japanese noodle soup dish ramen, with Uniqlo, Azalea and Whistles all featuring some sort of homage to the broth in recent collections.

In second position are donuts, with a 26 percent spike in searches since March. T-shirts and pyjamas are the most popular donut-related clothes shoppers that are buying.

Next came avocados; searches for avocado-themed fashion products are up 11 percent on this time last year. While some might think this velvety fruit has reached saturation point, it shows signs of increasing popularity, appearing on all from espadrilles and pyjamas to make-up bags and phone cases.

The fourth most popular fashion food was bananas, thanks to cult brand Ganni's banana print T-shirt. Lyst reports that 300 people look at the item every day and searches including 'banana' have risen 19 percent last year.
