It means something to be the mom of boys. And Tory Burch, who has three of her own, knows it well. But through her own relationship with her mother Reva Robinson, the designer also appreciates the special and transcendent bond between mothers and daughters—and that's exactly what the brand is celebrating in its Mother's Day campaign video.

"To Mum With Love," a short film shot in Los Angeles by Margaret Zhang, stars Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi—Burch called her "the voice of her generation" at Tuesday's Embrace Ambition Summit—and her mother Keri Shahidi.

In the Shahidi family, Mother's Day is no joke. "We usually spend a relaxing day together—a tasty breakfast at home with all of my favourite dishes and then a stroll through a museum," Keri said. "But I never know what my family is going to add to the festivities. Last year they came downstairs, one by one, with my photo on custom made t-shirts that they wore all day." (Unfortunately, those t-shirts aren't available for purchase on toryburch.com.)

For Yara, it's easy to appreciate her mama—on t-shirts or in words. "I admire her confidence, her laser focus, and her investment in the people around her," she said. "She has always told me 'we rise together.'"

Both Yara and Keri were psyched to work with Tory. "Tory Burch has used her talent and brand to empower women and give to communities around her. My mama and I naturally align on the importance of supporting women, but we also love and live in her clothes," Yara said. They also both raved about the on-set props. Fun fact: In order to make the cupcake (:56) look partially eaten throughout the takes, everyone from the crew took bites from each of the dozen they had on hand.

The two minute video, which you can watch below, includes some of the brand's best spring looks, including matching Tory Sport track suits, the Christie dress, and the iconic Miller sandal. You can shop each piece at toryburch.com.
