"During show season, my days are full with early starts and late nights. So I like to pack outfits that feel great, are easy to move around in and require minimal thought — and also of course make me happy when I look in the mirror.

"That usually means a standout skirt worn with an easy men's jumper or button down and a pair of great flats. I'm a sucker for mixing the conventionally girly (florals or a frill) with the conventionally masculine. But I'm also happiest when I'm wearing a great-fitting pair of jeans and a simple white tee. My fashion week wardrobe tends to encompass these two ideas.

"When I go simple on top (à la my jeans and tee combo), I'll go a bit crazier with the footwear. Lately, it's been anything furry and shaggy."

“When it comes to what I wear for Fashion Week, I either go crazy with a mix and match of colours and prints or I'll go the complete opposite route and pair a white blouse with a pair of trousers. I'm looking forward to mixing a bunch of pastels together this season.

"In terms of accessories, I'm really into the beekeeper hat trend and I love taking it back to the '90s with glitzy headbands. I always take my brown, Western style boots everywhere I go. Fashion Week is the time to have fun and experiment with style while still feeling comfortable.”

"A good fashion week wardrobe is the perfect mix of practicality (because 14 hour days are the norm), versatility (living out of a suitcase for weeks on end requires some strategy) and style (it’s fashion week!).

"I try to get away with flats as often as possible, so the rest of my looks are built from the ground up, with neutral toned separates that can be mixed, matched and layered, along a few standout dresses. I keep jewellery to a minimum and instead make it all about a great bag."

"Fashion week is always fun, but overwhelming. I'll always have a few showstopper outfits, but often end up falling back on tried and tested, simple looks that I feel most comfortable in. Ultimately the worst thing in the world is to feel too fussy, it has to look natural. I love prints—leopard, stripes, spots feature heavily— easy one piece dresses and good handbags.

"I'm also a diehard heels girl because I'm 5’3’’ and people at fashion week are tall. Between the models and the leggy editors out there, it can be hard to be so petite in stature.

"But ultimately, feeling confident comes from a place within. Nice clothes can make you feel great, but if you’re not okay inside, you won’t feel confident, no matter what you’re wearing."

"The most important item during Fashion Week for me? Perfectly clear: the shoes. They have to be special, extravagant yet still comfortable so it’s possible to run easily from show to show. I love booties with block heels.

"That’s the basis for my entire Fashion Week wardrobe. Then I can easily combine them with a beautiful dress (dresses look great in street style photos as well as on Instagram), a unique bag and a great pair of earrings make the perfect styling partner for my short hair."

SHOP NOW: Whipstitch-trimmed colour-block leather bucket bag, £612, Proenza Schouler; Funchal cold-shoulder floral-print silk-crepe hooded dress, £555, Magda Bartrum; Beatnik patent-leather ankle boots, £162, Alexa Chung
