This season marks the first New York Fashion Week since Kate Spade sadly passed away in June and to honour her legacy, the label paid a touching tribute during its spring/summer 2019 show.

As guests took to their seats inside the New York Public Library, they discovered a card awaiting them, emblazoned with the words: "She left a little sparkle everywhere she went".

Models graced the runway in electric ’70s-inspired prints and punchy knee-high boots

The spring/summer 2019 preview was the American fashion houses' first runway show after years of presentations in seasons gone by and it was a celebratory reflection on the label's heritage.

To celebrate the founder's unforgettable influence on the fashion industry, models graced the glitter-laden runway in retro floral prints and punchy boots - a not-so-subtle nod to the label's roots.

The collection also played heavily on the brand's original spade logo, as models walked the runway with the now-famous 'Sam' bag within their clasp - the first tote the designer created back in 1993.

FROW regulars, Priyanka Chopra, Kate Bosworth and Elizabeth Olsen, also paid their respects, as they watched the spectacle unfold decked in sequins, pastel hues and '70s-inspired prints.
