‘Nature is everything to me,’ says Sophie Darlington, the trailblazing natural history filmmaker, cinematographer and muse of Canada Goose’s latest campaign. ‘It feeds my soul. It fills my eyes. But the climate crisis is happening so fast. How can we convey that urgency?’

Darlington will be discussing that urgency alongside her passion for nature and her pioneering career as one of the first camera women in the industry, in an exclusive conversation with Grace Clarke from ELLE's fashion team this October – and you’re invited!

The powerful images, which also feature fellow trailblazers Sheila Atim and Kimberly Newell, convey Darlington’s deep connection with the natural world around her, which has played such a huge part in her impressive career.

‘When I started off 30 years ago, the number of camera women was fewer than you could count on one hand. It's only shifting now, through people seeing myself and other camera women on television,’ she reflects. ‘I'm such a believer in the ethos of “see her to be her” – there are so many women from all around the world who are ready.’
