Update 5 September: Thought weddings were expensive? Well, the average nuptials have nothing on fashion blogger and designer Chiara Ferragni's recent big day.
Last weekend, Chiara and Italian singer Fedez Leonardo Lucia married at a stunning Italian wedding in Sicily, surrounded by friends and family.
Here's how much the wedding is estimated to have cost:
- Location: Dimora Delle Balze in Noto
E! reports the couple's rental of the hotel is rumoured to have cost them £224,000 on average (including a three day rental fee with guest rooms for £31,000). Total: £231,000
- Dresses: Three Dior Haute Couture gowns
The Huffington Post reports: 'The cheapest of couture pieces will cost you £7,700, but evening gowns start at £46,000 and can cost upwards of £77,000.' Total: Approx. £231,000. - Travel: Return flights
The couple booked a private Alitalia airplane for a round trip from Milan to Catania for approximately 150 people, which averages at £294 per person (economy class, three day round trip). It's thought that lump sum would have cost the pair £46,000. They also booked a round trip flight from Los Angeles to Catania for an estimated 50 people, worth £2,000 per person (economy class, three day round trip) resulting in an estimated £100,000 bill. Total: £154,000

Including the price of the ferris wheel and carousel rental (presumably if they were rented in the US and shipped to Sicily, according to Big Round Wheel), return flights for seven people to Italy and back, event fireworks etc. Total: £81,000 - Flowers
Flowers will range in price depending on the wedding but Wedding Wire estimates the upper range tends to cost over £3,000.

Over the weekend, fashion blogger and designer Chiara Ferragni married singer Fedez Leonardo Lucia at an extravagant Italian wedding that looks to have been lifted from the pages of a fairytale novel. If said novel featured bespoke Dior dresses, private jets, thousands of roses, a Ferris wheel, and fireworks, that is.
The couple said 'I do' in front of family and friends at a wedding in Sicily on Saturday at Dimora delle Balze, a secluded 19th-century palazzo in Noto.
Ahead of the pair's wedding, the couple flew friends and family on private Alitalia flights branded with their hashtag #TheFerragnez to Sicily.
On arrival, guests were greeted to the three-day party by oversize cartoon versions of the bride and groom before attending a rehearsal dinner at Noto Bassi di Palazzo Nicolaci.
For the dinner, the bride wore a baby pink Prada cocktail dress that sparkled in the sunlight with her blonde hair styled in a half-up, half-down do.
The next day, the couple stood under a canopy of white roses, hydrangeas and greenery with Chiara wearing a high-necked Grace Kelly–inspired long-sleeved dress featuring a lace romper designed by Dior creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri.
She teamed the look with her hair styled into a Meghan Markle-inspired chignon and a traditional white veil.
On her Instagram account, Ferragni revealed her go-to range of make-up products by Lancôme for her big day: l’Absolu Rouge 501 Drama Matte, Monsieur Big waterproof mascara, and Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage High Coverage Concealer, and Lancôme Hydra Zen BB Cream.

She later changed into a Dior evening dress inspired by Chiuri's first collection (SS17) for the French brand.
The gown featured romantic phrases stitched into the fabric, as well as symbols from a song Fedez wrote about the couple's relationship.
The bride also wore a pair of white heels embalmed with 'J'adior' one one side, and 'Chiara' on the other.
Meanwhile, her brides - including her sisters Francesa and Valentina - wore custom pink Alberta Ferretti dresses with her son dressed in matching Baby Dior.
Later in the evening, the new mum changed into her third outfit - a Dior ballet-inspired tilled mini dress - before the newlyweds enjoyed their custom-made amusement park, which included a ferris wheel, a carousel, and finale fireworks that lit up the Italian skyline.
In May 2017, Fedez proposed to Chiara onstage during one of his concerts, before their couple welcomed their first child, Leone Lucia, earlier this year.
