Blake Lively's Fashion Choices Have Serena Van Der Woodsen Written All Over Them RN

It's been almost exactly six years since the last episode of Gossip Girl aired, but that hasn't stopped Blake Lively from paying sweet tribute to her on-screen alter ego, Serena Van Der Woodsen, this week.

On December 17 2012, we bid adieu to a weekly dose of high-octane fashion parading through the streets of the Upper East Side of New York City, as the golden haired socialite and her steely-stared BFF navigated all the challenges of being rich and beautiful.

Actress Blake Lively, 31-years-old, has made up for Gossip Girl's demise by keeping us fashion-addicts entertained, sporting an endless array of (often sparkly) designer swag. Lively was famously spotted making seven outfit changes in one single day.

Over the last week or so, though, even Blake has stepped up her fashion game - at least when it comes to emulating the super-luxe wardrobe of her TV counterpart Serena Van Der Woodsen.

Heading to (and posing on) Van Der Woodsen's most famous of haunts - the steps of the New York MET - Lively was spotted, golden hair billowing in the evening air, in the glitziest of Chanel dresses.

Attending the Metropolitan Museum of Art for Chanel's Metiers D'Art show, Lively joined fellow A-Listers Julianne Moore, Penelope Cruz, Lily Rose Depp, Janelle Monae, Diane Kruger, Margot Robbie, and Marion Cotillard.

This isn't the first time in the last week that Lively's been compared to her most beloved of television characters.

On December 2, Lively headed to the Versace fashion show in a similarly sparkly silver number and giant 80s inspired hair. The daring chainmail look, paired with a chic white trench is definitely reminiscent of Van Der Woodsen's famously bold choices.
