Recently, we've seen hiking boots in countless street style pictures, in collections for Tod's, Off-White and Gucci, and even modelled on the Louis Vuitton catwalk by none other than Kate Moss.

Now, they've made their way onto the feet of the Duchess of Cambridge no less than three times.

Today, whilst in the town of Keswick with her husband Prince William, Kate Middleton wore her See by Chloé boots for the drizzly day.

The Duchess paired the boots with this rain-perfect Troy jacket and a pair of skinny jeans.

In typical Middleton style, however, her hair was in a frizz-free ponytail, keeping it glam with a pair of 18ct yellow gold and diamond earrings by Kiki McDonough.

On the 23rd March the mother-of-three rewore her See by Chloé boots alongside her trusty maroon Mockneck Sweater in Supersoft Yarn by J Crew, black skinny jeans and a wax jacket for the day's engagement.

The 37 year-old accessorised the look with a Scouting scarf for her day of boat building and balloon rocket assembling.

With her hair in her classic bow-dry the Duchess of Sussex visited the Scouts' headquarters at Gilwell Park in Essex to both celebrate the site's 100th anniversary as well as to learn about the organisation's plan to bing Scouting to younger children.

Kate first wore the 2019 trend impeccably by matching it with a colour blocking combination of khaki jeans and a short tweed jacket by Irish brand Dubarry while visiting a community garden in north London in January.

The sold out See by Chloé boots in question mark a more relaxed shift in sartorial choice from the typically classic looks Kate so often masters which have recently featured 80s style headbands and smart coats.

Kate wore the on-trend outfit for her first official solo royal engagement of the year: a visit to the King Henry's Walk community garden in Islington.

During the visit, she met with members of the community to hear about how the project is bringing different people from the area together. The garden, which is run by volunteers and supported by Islington council, has been credited for encouraging education and organic gardening, engaging the community and reducing anti-social behaviour and vandalism.

Kate also met some children who enjoy the garden on the visit where she made pizza with them in the outside pizza oven and told them how her children George and Charlotte would love 'to be learning outside of the classroom'.

The visit came on the same day that it was announced Kate will be undergoing another exciting horticultural project this year when she co-designs a garden for the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show. The Duchess of Cambridge is already underway with the project, having collaborated with the Royal Horticultural Society and landscape architects Davies White for the past three months on designs, which will be on view at the show in May.

A release announcing the venture said: 'The garden will build on Her Royal Highness's passion for the outdoors and the proven benefits that nature has on physical and mental health.'
