Updated 23/03/20: Almost a month since Kourtney and Kim Kardashian wore coordinated AW20 latex Balmain suits to Kanye West’s Sunday Service during Paris Fashion Week, the pair have finally shown their fans how tricky it was getting into the super tight looks.
In a preview for Thursday’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim is seen getting ready for the service and trying to pull on her caramel-coloured, skin-tight ensemble.
‘Who goes to church in latex?’ Kourtney asks her sister, before Kim responds: ‘We do!’
Meanwhile, one assistant attempts to pull the latex trousers over her leg and another holds her her hair.
Kourtney soon tells her sister that going to the toilet will be virtually impossible, prompting Kim to say: ‘You're gonna have to hold it until like two.’
‘This is f*cking Fashion Week,’ Kim says through gritted teeth as her team help her with her outfit before revealing she thinks she pulled a shoulder muscle from wiggling into the suit.
Kim, we salute you!
Updated 09/03/20: It's been over a week since sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian stepped out in their straight off-the-runway Balmain looks to see the Balenciaga AW20 show and visit Kanye West's Sunday Service.
And though some people (ahem, Twitter people) thought the look was slightly more Power Rangers than Paris Fashion Week, their all-latex look was a hit with the fashion crowd (a.k.a. us).
So much so, Moda Operandi ensured their customers were able to get their hands on the looks sharpish, by making them available for pre-order now.
01/03/20: Kim And Kourtney Kardashian Wear Matching AW20 Balmain Latex Outfits At PFW
Kim and Kourtney Kardashian have brought the heat and some rather slippery outfits to Paris Fashion Week ahead of the Balmain fashion show.
On Sunday, the oldest Kardashian sisters were seen on a day out in the City of Lights with their daughters North West and Penelope Disick as they made their way to Kanye West’s Sunday Service.
For the occasion, Kourtney wore a brown Balmain AW20 look straight off the catwalk which featured a long-sleeved, shoulder padded, high-neck top, matching coloured latex trousers and black heeled boots.
Meanwhile, Kim opted for a toffee-coloured pair of skin-tight latex trousers, a high-neck roll neck and matching-coloured and textured blazer with a tie-waist.
The beauty mogul’s eldest child North wore a matching black leather suit with a grey roll neck top while Penelope wore a green and black-patterned pyjama suit.
Model Joan Smalls documented her arrival at the service on her Instagram account, during which West’s religious choir and prayer group gathered to perform in all-cream ensembles.
On Saturday, Kim shared several videos on her Instagram Stories of her walking into her Paris hotel room and showing off her latest Balmain catwalk offerings from the brand’s creative director Olivier Rousteing.
Describing the 39-year-old’s look on Instagram Stories following the Balmain AW20 show, Rousteing said that the runway look was made of Atsuko Kudo latex which was pleated and draped by the Balmain atelier ‘in order to offer a surprising and intelligent sensuality’.
On her room’s sofa lay several mannequin torsos dressed in some of the designer’s creations while a rack of clothes showed off the latex ensembles Kim and Kourtney would ultimately wear.
Following the Balmain show on Saturday, Rousteing shared several videos of his runway presentation and thanked everyone involved.
‘It was magic I can’t thank enough all the incredible models and friends that have been part of this Balmain runway,’ he captioned one clip of him following the show.
‘And a special thank to the most iconic models that inspired all of us to love fashion and show what is real fashion.’
