Days after enchanting the Fashion Awards 2023 red carpet in a glittering Georges Hobeika gown (that she felt like a 'pixie' in), Jasmine Jobson attended her second A-list fashion event of the week: Chanel's Metiers D'Art 2023 runway show in Manchester on December 7.

Despite Jobson being a Londoner, like many of us Brits, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride that the historic French fashion house chose the Northern city of Manchester to celebrate their latest collection. 'It was so exciting... to be able to attend my first Chanel show and it be the first Chanel show in the North, I'm really, really happy about that,' she told ELLE UK.

Chanel closed down Thomas Street and welcomed the likes of Kristen Stewart and Hugh Grant to have a glass of champagne from the local Bay Horse Tavern as they enjoyed Virginie Viard's Brit and Manc-inspired skirt suits head down the runway-come-road. No stranger to fashion shows and industry events, the Top Boy and Platform 7 actor attested to the less than fussy vibes of the street side front row in the Northern Quarter: 'We were all sitting at cute little pub tables and it was a really nice opportunity to be able to actually mingle with people. It felt very intimate.'

But, despite the typically Mancunian sense of relaxation and warmth at the runway show, Jobson still knew she wanted to serve a high fashion look. The 28 year-old opted for a Chanel classic with a tweed dress, complete with a bustle-like underskirt to create the perfect Victoriana look: 'I felt like a Princess'.

For glam she turned to her trusted make-up artist Kareem Jarché to give her a royal transformation. Jarché was inspired by Audrey Hepburn for the look, telling us: 'When collaborating with Jas, I strive to incorporate cultural influences into our designs while paying homage to traditions, history, and contemporary trends. This might involve drawing inspiration from cultural icons, traditional attire, or even societal movements that resonate with both of us.'

While tweed was Jobson's favourite on and off the runway for the evening, it is the classic black, quilted Chanel handbag she was lent to sit front row with that she really wants to keep forever. In fact, her aunt bought her a Chanel-style quilted bag when she was younger that Jobson, 'absolutely cherished'.

'I've always wanted one ever since I was a little girl,' Jobson gushed, 'and now I'm sitting front row: the seeds were sown then'.
