We called it back in January: acid-wash and bleached jeans are set to be a major denim trend for 2024. And now, Louis Vuitton darling and Queen of the North, Sophie Turner, has confirmed it.
While out in Paris, no doubt for the aforementioned LV's highly-anticipated AW24 Paris Fashion Week show, the former ELLE UK cover star stepped out (with her new beau, no less) in a pair of high-waisted and straight leg acid-wash jeans.
Bleached jeans can have quite the surfer-come-stoner aesthetic, but the mother-of-two avoided such slouchy overtones by pairing the denim with a black overcoat, a louche silk shirt, boots, a British aristocrat, and, of course, a Vuitton handbag.
Seen on Proenza Schouler's SS24 runway, styled much like Turner's date night ensemble, 2024's acid-wash jean reads much more sophisticated than its predecessors, not least thanks to their straight-leg silhouette.
