But now we read that what really enticed the former OC star to the job was the chance to work with director Karl Lagerfeld.

‘Obviously there’s the Karl of it all, which is a no-brainer,’ she told NYMag’s The Cut. ‘That was definitely a huge thing that lured me in.’

This being a project about ice cream, she didn’t get to dance around in Chanel—but she did take home a small gift from Lagerfeld. ‘He was writing down something on this Chanel notepad, and he was like, “Do you want it?” And I took it so fast he laughed at me, so I got a Chanel notepad from Karl. And my friend was with me—she was like, “Can I at least have a piece of paper from it?” I was like, “Absolutely not.”’

As for Giabiconi, the male model, Lagerfeld consort and Showtime chanteur: not so exciting for Bilson. ‘Apparently he’s a very big model,’ she said. ‘He doesn’t speak English so well, but not a lot of talking was necessary.... I’m more interested in keeping in touch with Karl.’
