Beyonce and Jay-Z tie the knot in style.

And according to reports all the guests wore white.

The couple had applied for a marriage licence in up state New York earlier last week before rumours surfaced that a wedding would take place this weekend. Then on Friday a huge marquee was erected on the top of Jay-Z's penthouse apartment in Manhattan's Tribeca, florists and party organisers arrived and soon celebrity guests did too, including Beyonce's Destiny's Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams and Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

While all the female guests wore white there is no word yet on what the bride herself had on, as the couple are yet to release an official statement about their nuptials. A friend of the couple has revealed to U.S. celebrity bible People that a private ceremony was held in up state New York during the day on Friday before the celeb packed after party back in the city on Friday night.

While the couple remain tight lipped about any wedding their friend Mary J. Blige, who was in concert with Jay-Z in North Carolina on Saturday night couldn't help but shout, 'Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B', to fans as she took to the stage.
