The OC...and the city?

It seems only weeks since The O.C left our screens (possibly because its on constant re-runs) but Elleuk.com have heard of a spanking new show from genius Josh Schwartz, the man behind the teen drama which made stars, not to mention fully fledged fashion icons, of Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson. And this one promises to be even better!

Set in NY, fashion central, Gossip Girl, revolves around Manhattan socialites-in-training who, just like their O.C counterparts, drink, have loads of promiscuous sex, and party as if it were a competitive sport at NY hotspots Bungalow 8 and Marquee. Think Mischa in killer heels instead of flip-flops. Its sure to create a whole new rosta of fashion It-girls from the young n beautiful cast and may even be the making of some designers too - just look what Carrie Bradshaw did for Manolo. It launches in the US on September 19 - we're planning a trip to NY just to see it.
