Downton pair to record an album
As Lady Mary, Dockery kept Downton rocking with her performance at the convalescent soldiers concert. In the real world, the actress and her on-screen mother prefer jazz.
It seems that McGovern, who plays Cora, Countess of Grantham, on the hit ITV show, has a side gig as a singer with an acoustic folk band called Sadie and the Hotheads. Dockery has joined McGovern as an honourary Hothead for a number of live performances (when? where??).
Now the Downton pair is making the collaboration official with an album expected for release later in 2012. Its been so much fun, Dockery told the Telegraph at a film screening. Elizabeth is a great songwriter.
We can picture season three now: Matthew Crawley goes to London to seek representation for his bride and future mother-in-law, who argue over wedding plans as they film their first music video on the grounds of their stately home. Maybe not. But those Scala & Kolacny Brothers better watch out...
