Chanel rented an island for her birthday

Happy birthday, Chanel Iman! The catwalker and friend-of-Kanye turns 21 today, and shes ringing in her US legal drinking status with a party... on a private island... off the coast of Jamaica.

Iman told Fashionista shes taking her family and best friends to a resort on Montego Bay before boating over to said island for a reggae- and rum-fuelled bash.

Despite the elaborate nature of the plans, Iman said they came together in no time at all.

I never know what Im really doing until maybe a week or even a few days before, the model said at a Victorias Secret PINK shoot. This party was planned three days ago!

As for that crucial first legal drink? Im pretty sure in Jamaica you dont have to be 21, she said. But my first, um, American legal drink... I guess like rum. Im a rum girl. Maybe a Pina Colada.
