No nipples, and more rules for dressing from Leigh Lezark

Excerpts from her guidance could (should!) safely be adopted as rules by all dressers, regardless of gender: ‘I don’t think your nipples should be seen through your shirt, unless you’re getting paid a lot of money for it,’ she said.

Not that Lezark is any stranger to wardrobe errors. Before her days as a glossy-maned habitué of the Chanel front row, she was a teenage DJ. She experimented with tomboyish club looks, bright colour clashes, and other styles that fell into the ‘you think that something’s going to be amazing and it’s not’ category of youthful dressing.

She has plenty to say about ideal clothing colours (blacks and neutrals preferred), ties (slender, not super-skinny) and printed knits (‘you have to do it right or you end up looking way too Christmassy.’) But what really caught our eyes was this morsel about the Misshapes’ preferred luggage: ‘We’re big Mulberry fans, all our bags are Mulberry—our computer cases, our luggage, even our passport covers.’

That's a lot of Mulberry. Figures, then, that Lezark said she’s drawn to men with bags. The appeal is basic: ‘That he's got somewhere to go! A man with a bag is going places.’
