Emma Watson heading for Oxford

We suspected that she wouldnt be able to stay away long. Emma Watson may still be enrolled at Brown University in the US, but shes planning to spend her third year studying in Oxford.

I'm still a student at Brown, Watson told The Virginian-Pilot. It's just that I'll spend my third year abroadat Oxford. Then I'll return to Brown to complete my last year.

Watson is partaking in the junior year abroad, now a staple of the American higher education experience. The only difference is that most students treat their third year as a chance to explore different cultures, languages and drinking habitsnot a time to return to home shores.

Oxford will also feel familiar to Watson, as its colleges provided the source material for many of the Harry Potter films most recognisable pieces of scenery. The main staircase at Hogwarts is based on a 16th century staircase leading to the Great Hall at Christ Church College, and Hogwarts Hall is a replica of the Great Hall itself.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 raked in $476m in global ticket sales over its opening weekend, setting a new box office record.
