Teller leaks HBC for MJ pics

Photographer Juergen Teller, he who convinced Victoria Beckham to climb into the giant shopping bag, has posted an image from the next Marc Jacobs campaign—and it features Helena Bonham-Carter.

The single shot depicts Bonham-Carter lying on the floor, wearing a salmon paillette dress, high-gloss beret and polka-dotted tights from Jacobs’ spot-heavy A/W collection. (We’ve seen the image flipped vertically on other sites, but we’re showing it here the way it appears on Teller’s Tumblr. Though Marc Jacobs's press rep confirmed that Bonham-Carter is its face for A/W ’11, he wouldn’t be drawn on specifics, such as, um, intended image orientation. Juergen, care to chime in?)

It’s a perspective-bending shot consistent with Bonham-Carter’s fêted eccentricity. Pretty great, don’t you think?

The actress may know her way around a Vivienne Westwood corset dress better than Dame Viv herself, but Bonham-Carter has also looked to Jacobs for special occasions. She wore his strapless ivory and black lace dress to the SAG Awards—with matching shoes, to boot.

Interesting, too, that as other brands look to nearly pre-teen actresses to front their campaigns, Teller and Jacobs have turned their lens on a 45-year-old mother of two. Fun, fashion, and Marc Jacobs: all ageless.
