Dressing-up Box

ShelterBox delivers emergency shelter and relief equipment to families in disaster zones, packed into its signature Big Green Box. The charity usually funds its work through private donations, but from tomorrow, it’s turning fashion retailer, encouraging people to donate boxes of clothes they no longer need to be transformed through resale into Big Green Boxes of vital supplies.

Charity-minded shoppers can have a crack at the star-donated goods in a week-long eBay auction kicking off tomorrow. Along with selections from Florence and Sienna, items up for grabs include a suit worn by Kevin Spacey, a top signed by Alice Temperley, and a Manish Arora dress owned by Marina Diamandis.

There’s also a pop-up shop. The temporary Big Box and Buy store opens on London’s Regent Street from 12 June. Pack your boxes...
