Galliano show cancelled… sort of

While John Galliano receives treatment for his alcohol problems outside of France, his namesake labels show will proceed in Paris this Sundayalbeit in an altered format.

The Galliano show is cancelled in favour of a presentation on Sunday for the press and buyers, a well-placed source told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Rather than producing one of Gallianos trademark theatrical productions without the man himself, LVMH, which owns Dior, is expected to mount a more intimate, tableau vivant-style presentation in a storied hôtel particulier, reported WWD.

As for the Dior showits on. We hope so, at least, given that were planning to attend. Should be interesting.

UPDATE: An e-mail from the John Galliano press office reads: 'We will present the John Galliano AW11-12 womenswear collection with living models in respect of the John Galliano spirit and universe.'
