Trend Alert - Caped crusaders on the catwalks in Milan

At Giorgio Armani capes were decadent and chic in chunky knits and fur. At D&G chic military styles featured brass buttons and frogging, and our favourite cape to date this season - leopard print with a fur collar. For Armani's well heeled clients it was a decadent keep forever piece, but also had a cool retro appeal that would not be out of place in London's Brick lane.

For autumn 09 go luxe and cool with your cape, looking out for knits, faux leopard, vintage fur trims and wool with military details that add snap. When winter arrives wear with confidence - like your very own frost fighting sartorial super power.
