Vivienne Westwood has a new cause

This week in Paris where she showed her autumn/winter 2008 mainline collection yesterday - she had a new cause on her mind and all over her catwalk - the environment and global warming.

And to help spread the message she enlisted the help of several school children from Nottingham - who she commissioned to draw and scribble over the eco warrior meets global traveller inspired collection she sent down the catwalk. She asked them to imagine a world of jungle-dwelling eco-warriors and then plastered their visions all over oversize tartan coats, capes and pinstripe trousers.

The anarchic slant to the show also spilled over into the make- up as models marched down the catwalk with their faces covered in graffiti and war - paint.
