NEWSFLASH: Lars Nilsson parts company with Gianfranco Ferre
No official reason has yet been given for the split, just five months after Nilsson (pictured) was appointed following the death of Ferre last year, but the rumours today are that Nilsson did not get support for his creative direction form IT Holding SPA who own Ferre, and they didn't agree with the direction he was taking at Ferre.
However, the show must go on, and next Monday 18th February the Gianfranco Ferre show will go ahead as planned in Milan. The autumn/winter 2008 collection has been created by Ferre's in house design team for this season, and an announcement will be made after the International collections regarding what's next for the Italian fashion house.
