Burberry launches jewellery for spring/summer 08

If you were a big fan of the gorgeous Burberry 'Knight' and 'Beaton' bags that we lusted after all winter then you will be excited to hear that for spring Burberry's Creative Director (and recently awarded Menswear Designer of the Year at The British Fashion Awards) Christopher Bailey is set to expand Burberry's accessories offering with the introduction of jewellery next year.

"Burberry has done pieces of jewellery in past seasons, but is [now] developing a proper jewellery collection," confirmed a spokesperson this week. The new range will stay true to Bailey's design asthetic with the focus on studs, celtic emblems and chains. Prices will start at around the very pocket friendly £100 mark - which is great news for Burberry fans who just couldn't persuade their bank manager to agree to that second mortgage for a £1400 gold studded 'Knight' bag this Christmas. We want this cuff now...but will have to wait until spring!
