Donatella's fashion talent contest - the first winner

At this year's 10th anniversary commemoration of Gianni Versace's death, the city of Milan launched an initiative to search for, and support, up and coming Italian designers and launched an annual fashion talent contest .

In order to enter this year fashion students submitted 10 sketches each, all inspired by Versace's iconic style (pictured here). Donatella Versace together with Milan's Design Institute last night announced this year's winner, 19-year-old Michele Guglielmo, who won a three year scholarship for the post-diploma course of Fashion and Textile Design at IED Moda Lab, and an internship at Versace. She'll certainly be a name to watch for the future... you heard it here first.
