Miu Miu hires 34-year-old model to replace Hailee

Miucca Prada has a new crush. Following last season’s foray into the soft-focus world of tween star Hailee Steinfeld, Miu Miu has tapped veteran model Guinevere van Seenus as the face of its Resort 2012 collection.

At 34 years old, van Seenus has two decades of modelling experience and fashion-world credibility on Steinfeld.

David Sims shot van Seenus for the campaign in London in September. Joe McKenna styled the shoot and Guido Palau did the hair.

We detect nods to Miu Miu’s youthful spirit in the jewelled-bow headband and candy-floss-pink handbag. So who encapsulates the brand’s ethos more aptly—an actual teenager, or a pro?
