The British sea-side theme was set by hundreds of animal-shaped balloons lining the walls and ceilings of Claridge's ballroom. This being the UK though, one must always be prepared for the weather and creative director Emma Hill had fortuitously catered for all eventualities.

Canary yellow waterproof macs swamped optimistically fair-weather maxi-dresses, giant hooded parkas and shrunken leather jackets shrouded pretty summer dresses and waffle knit tunics hung above athletically cut pencil skirts. It was a play on proportions, all lifted by sky-scraping wedges. Terrifically upbeat with some spectacularly glitzy mirrored appliqué dresses too.
