Now that he starts his shows on the strike of the hour, the blind panic to get through the doors and seated on time makes you feel like you're about to witness the second coming. Add to that the high octane soundtrack and stellar model line-up and you've got yourself one hell of a party.

Marc by Marc Jacobs is always youthful, bright and fun, the most popular girl at school brimming with confidence. The 70s theme of past seasons has been shed in favour of sportswear from the 80s to the noughties with go-faster stripe shorts mixed with slim tunics, big square pockets on neat navy jumpsuits, block colour heels and athletic club sweaters. Vertical stripes ruled, teamed with nylon peplums, while his frill swimsuits are bound to do a roaring trade.

It hit the perfect note and was all over before the crowd had even caught its breath.
