Zyne, a luxury footwear label, is now one of the many stylish brands that are part of the Duchess of Sussex's royal wardrobe.
During her royal visit to Morocco, Meghan met with the brand founders, who explained how their business helps the local community. She chose two styles to bring home with her, one flat blue embellished velvet pair and a statement kitten heel.
The brand's Moroccan-born designer Zineb Britel, who is based in Casablanca, creates shoes based on historic Moroccan footwear known as the 'babouche', but with a modern, high-fashion twist.
The brand aims to inspire and help Moroccan women to lead better lives, by employing local women and utilising their craftsmanship to hand-make their designs, which are made from the finest luxury materials, including velvet and satin, with Swarovski crystal embellishments.
Britel trained at Central Saint Martins before gaining experience by working at some of the most prestigious French couture houses, including Christian Dior and Sonia Rykiel.
Zyne prices start from £200. Stockists include Net-a-Porter and Bergdorf Goodman.
