The rise of the premium high-street collection is something we’ve been witnessing for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier to see the likes of Cos, Arket and H&M unveiling collections of accessible yet elevated pieces, helping to bridge the gap between investment-level designer collections and disposable fast fashion.
One of the lines I look forward to most each season is Mango’s Selection: the retailer’s most premium offering, which combines sharp, directional cuts with construction that’ll satisfy the most scrupulous of fashion editors (hi!).
This season’s drop is, in my humble opinion, the best one yet, featuring timeless tailored pieces alongside a few sportswear separates and runway-influenced accessories that’ll bring a new-season flourish to your regular rotation.

Since every A-lister going was snapped wearing Alaïa’s fishnet ballerinas, mesh pumps have been having a major moment – and the trend isn’t set to slow down any time soon. First came The Row’s fisherman flats (more casual, equally hard to get your hands on), then arrived the high-street reincarnations, all of which sold out swiftly, never to be seen again. With its note-perfect new pair, Mango has reminded us exactly why we fell for the mesh flat in the first place: they’re easy but elevated, work for both day and night, and feel simultaneously effortless and actually quite sexy (just ensure you’ve had a pedicure).
You’re probably speedily adding a pair to your bag right now, but don’t sleep on the rest of the collection. There are plenty of season-transcending gems to be found here, from the precise black blazer nipped in at the waist to the stiff selvedge jeans with exaggerated turn-ups (perfect with a pointed kitten heel). And the truly serious capsule-wardrobe curators will be heading to the flawless creamy black leather trench coat, which easily passes for a four-figure runway treasure and is guaranteed to look chic for years to come.
Really, the line-up is a masterclass in modern workwear, with tailored pieces that read as cool and nonchalant, rather than stiff and corporate. If a quick glance around the ELLE office tells me anything, it’s that this is exactly how so many of us are dressing during the 9-5 right now: we want pieces that feel appropriate for a big meeting yet louche enough for an impromptu after-work drink.
